Following his undergraduate, medical college and residency at the University of Arizona in Tucson, Dr. Bernert studied with Dr. A. Bernard Ackerman, widely regarded as the premier dermatopathologist of this century.  For more than decade, Dr. Bernert has been an accomplished educator of regional dermatology and pathology residents.

Dr. Karen Warschaw joined AZDP in March, 2011 after a decade of practice at the Mayo Clinic Arizona. Dr. Warschaw is now the Director of Dermatology Resident education at Arizona Dermatopathology, training MD and DO residents.
