Dr. Murphy graduated with her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Florida in Gainesville. She then received her medical degree from the University of Florida College of Medicine.
Dr. Murphy went on to serve a five-year residency in anatomic and clinical pathology at the prestigious Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. She later finished fellowship in dermatopathology at Dermpath Diagnostics-Cockerell & Associates of the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. She then returned to the Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center to complete a cytopathology fellowship.
Upon completing her postgraduate training, Dr. Murphy garnered a considerable wealth of professional experience as a dermatopathologist. For over a decade, she has served as Staff Dermatopathologist with Arizona Dermatopathology.
Dr. Murphy belongs to the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society of Dermatopathology, and the College of American Pathologists. She holds full medical licensure in nine states, including Arizona, Florida, Montana, and Ohio. She is board-certified in dermatopathology, cytopathology, and anatomic and clinical pathology.
A gifted writer, Dr. Murphy has had the results of her research published as peer-reviewed articles in some of our more prestigious medical journals.
