Arizona Dermatopathology, a Sonic Healthcare dermatopathology practice is privileged to include Leila Langston, M.D., as a member of our medical staff. Dr. Langston has an extensive academic background with impressive professional experience.
Dr. Langston earned her medical degree from the Tehran Azad Medical Sciences University in Iran, after which she worked as Lead Physician and Director of the Health Care Center at Tehran West Health Center. She subsequently operated as Tuberculosis Control Coordinator at the Iran Medical Sciences University, where she also founded the HIV/AIDS Clinic and acted as its Director before relocating to the United States to resume her medical studies.
Dr. Langston went on to serve a four-year surgical and clinical pathology residency at the University of Colorado Denver. She then completed a surgical pathology fellowship at the University of California, Los Angeles, followed by a dermatopathology fellowship at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston, concluding her postgraduate training.
Dr. Langston has since continued her professional medical career, serving for many years as Dermatopathologist and Surgical Pathologist at UniPath, P.C. in Denver, Colorado. She then relocated to Arizona to join the medical staff at Arizona Dermatopathology, where she currently works as Staff Dermatopathologist.
Dr. Langston belongs to the American Society of Clinical Pathology, the College of American Pathologists, and the Gold Humanism Honor Society. She holds full medical licensure in seven states, including Arizona, California, Colorado, and Montana. She is board-certified in dermatopathology and anatomic and clinical pathology.
Dr. Langston has had the results of her research published as book chapters in medical textbooks and peer-reviewed articles in medical journals. She has also delivered many poster presentations at professional medical conferences.
